Partnering With You

Family — a true partner in every plan

We believe families know their loved one best. That’s why ASTLA builds every program around open communication, shared decision-making, and ongoing collaboration with the people who matter most.

Our Philosophy

You know your family. We bring the expertise.

No two families are the same, and no two support plans should be either. From the very first conversation, we take time to understand your family’s routines, priorities, and hopes — so the plan we build reflects real life at home, not just a checklist of goals.

Throughout every stage of a participant’s program, families are kept informed and involved, and are always welcome to ask questions, share feedback, or request adjustments.

Staying Connected

How families stay involved

Collaboration with families happens throughout the entire program — not just at the start.

Regular Updates

Ongoing communication so you always know how your loved one is progressing.

Planning Meetings

Families are welcomed into goal-setting and progress-review conversations.

Shared Decision-Making

Your input shapes what services look like and how they’re delivered.

Emotional Support

A caring team that listens, not just to the participant, but to the whole family.

Resources

Support beyond the program itself

Navigating services, funding, and paperwork can feel overwhelming — we’re here to help make sense of it. Our team is glad to answer questions about Regional Center processes, the Self-Determination Program, and how to connect with other families in similar situations.
